What a great tip from your post-op nurse! Layering a thin tank top under a compression garment is a smart way to reduce friction and make wearing it much more comfortable — especially on sensitive, healing skin.

Here are some other comfort tips that MyBCTeam members have found helpful after mastectomy:

- Soft, breathable fabrics like cotton can help skin breathe and feel cooler, especially if hot flashes are an issue
- Front-closure bras are easier to put on when arm mobility is limited
- Button-down or snap/zip-up tops mean no lifting arms over your head
- Stretchy-waisted pants make dressing independently much easier
- Mastectomy pillows in various sizes help protect incisions and improve sleep comfort

Always check with your care team if anything feels too tight, causes pain, or if you notice any redness or signs of infection. Your comfort matters, but healing safely comes first! 💛

Thank you I will take them all. I have staples in my chest, metal wires and drains everywhere.
