I already took 300mg/day for a muscle condition. When thinking what would help muscles, CoQ10. My neurologist increased it to 400mg/day. Much better!

@A MyBCTeam Member @A MyBCTeam Member. Guessing you were using CoQ10 at a doctor's direction. Glad you are wise and check with prescribing doc and onco. CoQ10 does interfere with some chemotherapies. Blessings.

Thank you for this information.
I am already taking CO Q10.
Will check to see the amount that I am

Sending super hugs.

What a great tip to share β€” it sounds like CoQ10 has made a real difference for your muscle weakness!

CoQ10 is a natural antioxidant that the body produces, and it plays a role in energy production within muscle cells. Some people with breast cancer experience muscle weakness as a side effect of treatments like aromatase inhibitors or chemotherapy, so finding something that helps is worth exploring.

A few important things to keep in mind:

- CoQ10 can interact with certain breast cancer medications, so always check with your oncologist before starting or adjusting the dose
- Dosage matters β€” what works for one person may not be right for another
- Your neurologist's guidance on increasing to 400mg/day is a great example of getting personalized medical advice

It's wonderful that you're feeling much better! Sharing experiences like this with others on MyBCTeam can really help people who are struggling with similar symptoms feel less alone and more empowered to ask their own doctors the right questions.
