Hi NaR , The sharp shooting pains will go away eventually. Mine took about 6 weeks but I also had a reduction with the lumpectomy. I was prescribed a muscle relaxer Robaxim for the spasms/shooting pain. All the best on your recovery.

Everyone's recovery is different. Mine was almost a year, I used ice packs with a pillow, its called a heart pillow.

I’m almost 4 months out and I still get them from time to time but not often. They are more annoying than painful now.
