I'm now 11months out from my lumpectomy and still have a tender breast - have had shooting pains and aches for most of that time but I do see a lymphodoema nurse each month who insists that I use a piece of what looks like bubble wrap in my bra for compression and also a compression sleeve. She gives my breast, arm and shoulder a great manual massage then uses some funny machine for a 2nd massage. She also does a lot of lympho taping. I must say that it has all been worth it as the breast is now feeling a lot better.
I might add that I broke my humerus a month after the BC op and the compression sleeve has really helped with the healing of the arm.
So gradually my life is coming back together - just do not like the Tamoxifen - it has helped me gain 6kg in past 11 months and given me very bad muscular/joint pain.

But we are in the middle of a beautiful and very hot summer which I love and only have 4 weeks before getting the first mammogram etc after BC so feeling rather fortunate with life.

So sorry to hear that. Thats a long time to suffer. Had you tried using 5% lidocaine patches (needs a prescription). Your breast will still be painful, but the patch will give you some relief.

Yes... my boob is so tender is a strict no touch... and my surgeries were in September 2023.

So sad over having radiation.

I still have pain but my surgeon told me it what happens when radiation changes your skin and it's thickening at the scar cite
