That's good you have a plan in place. I've had my best luck with radiation treatments killing my endometrial cancer the 3 times it came back. Finished chemo and radiation for 2nd round of breast cancer last year, so time will tell if those treatments were successful. I hope the radiation works as well for you as it has for me and that you are able to tolerate the chemo pill.

I had chemo and immunotherapy prior to surgery. I completed 75% of my tratment as I was hospitalized due to reaction. I had to have blood transfusion and developed collitis. I had clear margins and no lymph node involvement. But I know Triple negative has a higher recurrence rate and all the treatment I received did not kill the cancer totally. I am having 5 sessions of radiation and will be taking a chemo pill.
Hi Janice. You didn't mention if you've had chemo or radiation yet. I read your profile which says your cancer is triple negative. You should talk to your doctor and see if you need further surgery to give you better margins or if you should have a mastectomy to reduce your odds of the cancer returning. You should also ask if you're a candidate for immunotherapy, and ask if you need radiation or chemo if you haven't had those yet.
