I had fat grafting and it did wonders to areas that were left with deep pockets after double mastectomy and expander removal. Also, got rid of my muffin top. A little pain in the hips but nothing worth taking pain meds for, kind of felt like a really bad bruise. I would definitely do it again. Good luck! Hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery :)
Wow! $2000
The left side implant doesn’t look as uniform as the right side = reason? Not sure what the surgeon will say, other than right now, “it’s too early to decide”. Sometimes one side “settles” faster than the other. The left side was the cancer side and that breast was more droopy in the first place, so, I’ve always been told that revision surgeries can help, and that more than one may happen. Same with fat grafting. Sometimes some of the fat doesn’t survive, so they have to do more at a later date. As with everything to do within the world of breast reconstruction, it’s a lot of wait and see. Realistic expectations. A good result that allows us to have
some semblance of shape, under our clothing. We’ll never go back to original God - given breast tissues. I understand this, but I also want to do whatever the current treatments are, if the surgeon agrees that it will improve symmetry.
Thats good to hear! I've been taking them for a few months. I'm having a break now as they are hard to get and I dont want t0 run out -- I bought a few months supply in Playa del Carmen - they were very cheap over the counter there.
No. Kaiser nurses still on strike. Why was your one implant ok and the other not? I had one breast removed and I am not at all happy with the implant. Even though my existing breast is small, the implant is even smaller. I dont think the fat grafting will help much either as apparently it can only go into open spaces of skin. (I've expressed that badly!). I think the surgeon should have stretched the surgery site more with the expander. Anyway - at least we are alive! I've been reading FB site of people taking ivermectin and Febendacyl and some of them have such terrible cancer.
