Anastrozole can cause trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome along with pain and weakness in joints and muscles in general. The AIs have tons of side effects, but most doctors aren't aware and/or don't tell you about most of them. Go on drugs.com and look at the side effects. The site shows more common side effects and has a link you can click to see all of the side effects. When I had to pick which AI and CDK inhibitor I was going to take I made a chart showing all the side effects so I could compare the various drugs. I jumped on this site this morning because I have pain which seems to be increasing in intensity and duration. The pain radiates from my underarm surgical area where lymph nodes were removed during mastectomy. My surgery was back in April of 2024. This morning I decided to jump back on this site to see if anyone else suffers from similar pain this long after surgery. Then I read this article mentioning TRIGGER FINGER and Anastrozole! Stop short in your tracks.... In 2025 when my hands became so painful and trigger finger so debilitating that after testing ordered by my PCP I had surgery to "snip" the affecting tendons. During 2025, 365 days, my surgeon, my oncologist and my PCP knew about the pain and trigger finger. Throw in the orthopedic surgeon too. Not one of them considered a side effect of Anastrozole. So now, I'm wondering if this drug is the cause of the nighttime pain in my hands and when my left knee which freezes up and becomes immobile (only at nighttime). Was my trigger finger caused by ANASTROZOLE? Dadgumit I am not a hypochondriac and none of this has a darn thing to do with the underarm pain I jumped on the site to share.....
