I get special skin cream from the infusion center where I get my chemo. It's called Remedy specialized prevent silicon cream.
Thick going on but lasts 24 hours.
No odor or smell. I try to get a tube each time I go.

What's the best lotion to use during chemotherapy for your skin?

When choosing a lotion during chemo, look for gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers. Your skin becomes more sensitive during treatment, so avoid products with dyes, fragrances, or harsh chemicals that could irritate it.

Apply moisturizer right after bathing while your skin is still damp to lock in moisture. This helps keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.

Some recommended options include:
- Fragrance-free moisturizers
- Eucerin
- Aquaphor

Always check with your oncology team before using any new skin products. They can recommend or prescribe specific moisturizers that are safe for your individual treatment plan. If over-the-counter products aren't providing enough relief, ask your doctor about prescription-strength options.

Remember to use lukewarm (not hot) water when bathing, as hot water dries out skin. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water too - this helps your skin from the inside out.
