Both times I had chemo I started coloring my hair after it was long enough for the color grab on to my hair which is about 1/2 inch growth. The first time I had chemo I decided to bleach my hair which was a bad idea. The new hair after chemo is extra fragile compared to your normal hair. The bleach made it really dry and straw like. This time around I colored my hair after 1/2 inch growth. I used an actual color, pink this time, instead of bleach. You want to use a color that isn't too harsh. I have been using a paraben free Pantene shampoo and Nexus Humectant conditioner and my hair is healthy and soft. I just colored it for the second time a few days ago since my hair had grown another 1/2 inch and my roots were showing and it's still in good condition. Don't worry about the color that gets on your scalp. It usually washes off your skin after 2 or 3 shampoos.
I figured I’ll have to wait until it’s long enough not to also color my scalp! Lol
I wouldn't do it unless you have a full head of hair like Jessica said. Your scalp can be very sensitive.
That's bizarre. I've never experienced this before on any website.
What’s even stranger is, the same thing happens on my FB page! I’ll post something or reply to a post and my posts don’t show up for a day or two! 🤷
