Just wondering what side effects you have had. I am now on infusions once every 3 weeks.
I didn't have any kind of chimo or radiation, but that was my choice. Herceptin inyecciones every 3 weeks for 18 months then i did have a lampectomy 2 small tumors removed and 2 lymph nodes in my armpitand .After Anastrozole which I need to take for 10 years
Yes, I had chemo (with Herceptin) but also had the Neulasta drug to boost the production of white blood cells- that really made the bones and joints ache. But since Herceptin does not attack those cells like chemo does, the Neulasta was discontinued when chemo was finished. It took a while but the bone aches did lessen and stop. Neuropathy continued through Herceptin, but started clearing up about 6 months after finishing Herceptin. Now I just have a bit of numbness at the tips of my fingers and toes- more annoying than anything else! Hange in there! Hugs!
JW- your side effects should be minimal, as you have been getting Herceptin along with your chemo. This step just removes the harsh chemo drugs from the cocktail. Hang in there, switching to Herceptin only was when I started to feel better- though some of the side effects from the chemo drugs do linger for awhile (fatigue, brain fog, and neuropathy). Hang in there, you are doing great! Hugs!
Yes sometimes. I just push through and do less activities. I seems to pass within a day or two. I consider it an inconvenience not a problem. I’m 80 years old and my ever ready bunny energy has long been over. lol
I am having herceptin every three weeks and have had zero side effects. I have a port and no problem! I have a cardio echogram
Every three months and so far so good! I’m on my 8 th fusion and ant complain. I’ve had none of the side effects listed. I have stage 2 due to 1 node involvement. Hope it continues. Good luck and stay strong. By way I’m having it for one year and counting
