I had a total knee replacement after five years on Exemestane. It was just as Covid was starting, and I had to do my exercises for rehab at home after one week because they closed everything. I am not aware of any extra difficulty healing and strengthening due to the aromatase inhibitor. I don't recall that it was even mentioned. I continued to take Exemestane for another five years after knee surgery.

I had a total knee replacement following my initial breast cancer treatment. I did not go off of my aromatase inhibitor. I had 5 months of intensive rehab and was good to go after that. I need to do my other knee soon.

I have not had a knee replacement but I did have a shoulder replacement in
May this year.I don't find it to be any harder then my first surgery but I
think knee surgery was an easier recovery, just make sure to also do home
