Did you have to clear this through any of your oncology doctors or PCP or
Internist?

You should clear through your oncology department and not be in active BC treatment.

Cold laser therapy is done at PT sites and at some.chiropractics sites.

You need to Google to find local sites.

I am going for OA of my knee.
The cold laser therapy reduces swelling and promotes healing.

Can be used for any type of sports injury or arthritis, or neuropathy.

Not covered by insurance where I am.
$35 per session at a PT site. where I am going.
Prices really vary across the country.

Update on this: The site that does the laser therapy for $35. is light laser and not cold laser.

Can get this procedure done through
Chiropractic offices.

I would like to know about treatment for osteoarthritis, in my back, and
keeps me from walking any long distance. Today I had good news from my
annual mammogram.. Everything is clear which was a big relief after a year
of worrying from a lumpectomy last year. I'm surprised of how many of us
ladies are on this journey.. Keep the faith!!

Well, the researcher in me didn’t research enough.

I listed what I thought were 6 cold laser sites that had PT, and called the one that was somewhat local.
I asked if they had cold laser; and they said yes.
But they are using a laser that creates a mild warmth.

But I was able to walk out of there better than when I went in.
So that is important. Will be going there for PT + laser treatment.
I can always hunt up a cold laser site later.

Nothing is perfect in life. We modify and go forward.

I’m currently receiving low level laser treatments by a PT at an oncology rehab center to address hypertrophic scar pain by promoting healing and reducing inflammation. Treatments also include cupping using a specialized device to increase local blood flow and break up adhesions. (My scars are closed and well healed).

Sue10, I'm wondering who would offer Cold Laser Therapy? And can it be used on OA of the hands?
