I've been on letroz for a while now. My biggest issues are joint pain and weight gain. The joint pain comes and goes and I try to walk as much as possible around the stores and in the house. I did gain weight originally and can do so quickly if l dont eat properly. I did lose the weight but it took a long time to realize that I have to keep a food journal and lay off the chocolate. I'm short so every pound shows . Compared to other drugs, I prefer letrozole.. It can cause night sweats and affect your mood as well but we learn to handle those and move on. Everybody is different so letrozole affects each person differently. My friend is on letrozole and has more side affect than j do but she's also younger and going through menopause. My other friend has no issues with ketrozole at all. It's like taking an aspirin for her! She never gained an ounce, had hot flashes, or joint pain! Hello. I have been on Letrozole for 2 years now. I started it at the same time as Verzenio so its hard for me to tell which side effects were from which drug. What I did finally do was switch to takjng it at bedtime so that the side effects might be muted by sleep.

I am having surgery 9/30. Bx DCIS grade 3. Larger area on MRI 3 cm.
