I think movement is probably the best thing to at least keep weight gain stable. I learned throughout life diet is second in importance when it comes to weight loss with exercise being the first. Exercising for at least 30 minutes a day can help maintain and lose weight, walking is probably the easiest and best form of exercise. Outside, treadmill or even a stationary bike can be beneficial.

I walk and do a lot of stretches. Eat salad, upped the protein and drink a ton of water!

Funny but since I have started eating oatmeal, I seem to be able to balance what I eat daily and am less hungry at lunch.

Thank you @A MyBCTeam Member.

Weight gain with Anastrozole is a common concern, especially during the first year of treatment. While it can be frustrating, there are several strategies that can help manage your weight:

1. Track your food intake - Use a food diary or take photos of meals to understand your eating patterns
2. Get regular exercise - Even with fatigue, try to stay active as your energy allows
3. Work with professionals - Consider consulting a dietitian or wellness coach for personalized guidance Many MyBCTeam members share similar experiences. One member tried working with a dietitian and exercising daily for six months, noting it was challenging but they persisted. Remember that weight management while on Anastrozole can be more difficult than usual, so be patient with yourself.

If you're concerned about significant weight changes, discuss this with your oncology team. They can help determine if there are other factors contributing to the weight gain and suggest appropriate solutions.
