Next Tuesday I get my 5th chemo treatment and my last one on August 12th. September 4th or 11th I will be getting my lumpectomy and reduction followed by 4 weeks of radiation
I have so far to go and pray I beat this, but all I do is think about what if it comes back
I'm triple positive and my oncologist surgeon was honest and shared since I'm young there is always a chance for recurrence.
I'm worried I'm going to drive myself crazy thinking of this. Has anyone here who is also triple… read more

I totally understand fearing it will come back. I had hormone positive and had chemo, bilateral mastectomy and finished radiation last month. I am now on arimidex. I just went back to work and each day I feel a little more normal. I am trying to not let cancer be front and center in my life now. It’s hard after almost a year of that being the way of life. Hugs and prayers to you. You will get through this and before you know it your life will be returning to normal and the normal thoughts will gradually take over worries of cancer.

Thank you TeTo! Appreciate the trial information. My oncologist has mentioned my type has a high recurrance rate, but that many new drugs are out to help treat it and possibly aid in stopping recurrance. I'm definitely going to just try to get through all these treatments (only 2 more chemo to go :) ) and then take it one day at a time.
I do need to look into ways to live and be healthier. I have to watch what I eat and try to lose weight before hormone treatment. I'm already obese and heard the hormone treatments cause weight gain. I did get a cancer cookbook... I just need to actually use it. Again, thank you for your response I really appreciate it! 🩷
