I'm usually very positive but when I read women here who have cancers that came back 2, 3, 4 times AFTER chemo, radiation and breasts removal it just angers me doctors are not up front and honest with women about this disease . If they have been oncologists for more than 2-3 decades they know. They know the ins and outs about cancer yet they push these treatments and run off stats anyway.

I'm perplexed with women who actually think there will ever be a cure when after decades, surgeries are the same, chemo, radiation and drugs are the same. All those organizations you mentioned raising a ton of money. What is it being spent on? and then we hear cancer research may lose funds. Like well, who cares? Nothing good has come from the well funded disease so not having funds wont make a difference.

And doctors call these aromatase inhibitor pills ‘a breakthrough in breast cancer therapy’!!!! What a nasty joke. These pills are horrific. I’ve tried all three AI pills and the side affects are so debilitating. Horrific. And they only want us to take these pills for 5,7 or 10 years.
I’m disgusted.

I've learned anything I state gets the wrong answer. I know what I know and what my oncologist says are sometimes two different things so I don't even bother. I only need her to order tests and prescriptions. She thinks I am only taking 3000 IU's of D3 but I never stopped taking 5000 IU's and she doesn't have to know. I like her, she is very nice, thorough, never rushes through the appointment and she has great patience with me who has often been uncooperative but it ends there. I am quite capable of making my own medical decisions in regards to my treatment. She even thinks googling is helpful but my surgeon frowned upon it. I was much happier when I closed my case Oct/Nov/Dec last year. No doctors, no scans, no tests, no drugs for 3 glorious months. Then I got sucked right back into it. Now the moment of closing my case again is approaching on June 12 when she sees my lab results and decides anastrozole is not working.
