Since your body is used to getting it like every week, and you don’t get it anymore does it kind of crave it?

LeesaJ, your body maybe needed that extra sleep so you can recover. You should start to feel better in the days to come. I loved it not taking chemo meds. I felt like I could try to do some of the things I used to do. Remember the mind says yes I can and body says take it easy. Good luck on your new adventure.

No, I did not. I usually started to feel a lot better when it was time for the next treatment. After my last, I just continued to feel better.
Wishing you well!

No, I just went through my regular side effects. I thought I would bounce back quicker- and some things did. The first improvements were taste buds (that awful metallic taste was less distinct, I had a more settled stomach, and there were less severe/frequent nose bleeds, Woo-hoo!!.

A few months after the end of chemo, hair started coming back, and bone/joint aches were improving. The neuropathy in my hands and feet waited for 6 months after the end of targeted therapy (Herceptin) to begin improving.

What took the longest to come back was energy, and stamina. The NP reminded me (often) to pace myself. It takes about a year for all the cells impacted by chemo to regenerate. Hang in there, it does get better! Hugs!

@A MyBCTeam Member thanks Judi, i’m on a break from chemo Until I can get my lung issues cleared up. And then I think I’ll be restarting chemo again for my last five rounds I just been super fatigue, i’m taking 3 1/2 hour naps which isnt normal for me so I was curious about maybe that’s because I haven’t had chemo weekly like my body is used to.

Your body may go through some changes after chemo but it's usually not like withdrawal from an addiction. I think my worse problem was the tiredness and lack of sleep. It gets better but often not as quickly as you would like. It will get better. Drinking lots of water, a good healthy diet and light exercise helped tremendously. Wishing you the very best! Endless hugs!
