Stage 1 I have tried 2 of the pills which did not work for me

Lisa you did not say what Stage your cancer is, please ask your doctor what the risk difference is between taking the meds and not taking them. If you try them, you may find the side effects to be manageable. If not, you can revisit the decision.

My doctor wants me to try tamoxifen…. I am on the fence. I think for now I am going to stay drug free.

I'm sorry @A MyBCTeam Member you have had problems with both Anastrozole and Exemestane and I am very adamant when it comes to QOL and what I am willing to put up with. I was off anastrozole for 3 months and it was the best 3 months I had in 2 years. I have MBC so I cant be cured and I honestly don't know what I would do if I had another stage Breast cancer knowing I would need to stay on these drugs no matter what. Have you tried Letrozole or Tamoxifen? Doctors can put post menopausal patients who are unable to take the hormone blockers on Tamoxifen. Maybe its worth a try. 🥰

I am trying to continue to work breast cancer diagnosis in dec 2023 er+ pr+ her2- 20 rounds radiation partial mastectomy..started with anastrozole took a year joint pain fatigue bad..switched to aromasin ..blisters in mouth itching fatigue so bad I can barely stay awake ..really affecting my quality of life...not sure what to do at this point ..anyone else taking aromasin??
