This is a new one for me w the Ivermectin and I will do some research, but I can't wrap my head around taking a medication that's main purpose is killing intestinal and heartworm parasites in dogs and farm animals.
I think that Ivermectin is for HER2 positive breast cancers not ERPR positive
I don't believe in alternative treatments either, not enough studies or trials. Most of the alternative treatments start out by saying ' It might be helpful but they are not proven'. If women drop traditional treatments for breast cancer and rely on alternative drugs and supplements, they are taking a huge risk. If they are doing a mixture of both traditional and alternative treatments, they really aren't content with alternatives.
I was on Anastrazole for over 3 yrs only to find out cancer returned. Found by accident, but led to blood tests which show a pik3 mutation and new meds. Now being stage 4, I decided to try ivermectin and fenbendazole along with newer meds. Got nothing to lose at this point. Search pubmed for articles on Ivermectin. It has been used in humans for many years. A paper published in March 2024 talks about it having anti cancer properties. Aug 2024 talks about ivermectin and triple negative BC. I did all of the treatments at stage 3. Oncotype was 20. Less than 17% risk for recurrence at 9 yrs. But within 3 it was back. I would have continued on Anastrazole not knowing it wasn't working until a broken bone maybe? For me personally, I have to do whatever I can to live.
CrystalKempfer I’m not not sure, I’ve only read a little on ivermectin to be honest. It’s just not for me. However I’m currently not happy on anastrozole due to bone and joint pain but some days are better than others. I’m trying to get thru , I’ve only been on it ~2.5 months. I see my oncologist this week, I’m going to ask them is there any ways to help without NSAIDs . I’ve taken them before and my bloodwork looks like I’m in kidney failure so i usually don’t touch them but I’ve been forced to take some as the pain has been took much some days. Honestly I’m not sure I’ll continue. My radiation oncologist supports this , i just saw him last week and he said im doing the best i can however i have to live and he’s right. I think my reoccurrence was 3.% doing nothing but surgery and anastrozole but i did go thru a month of radiation so i may be ok to discontinue if i can’t get this pain under control. So i do understand, you’ve may it longer then me on the med.
What about one of the other AIs? I will look likely take a drug holiday and then try another AI before I quit, I’m willing to try them all. I’m trying to make anastrozole work because i had so many headaches and migraines at the beginning I’m not sure i want to do that again. So i do feel your pain.
