I had a DMX /expanders May 19,2023 and implants Sept 6,2023! I have never felt comfortable but the doctor says it’s probably post mastectomy syndrome but it feels like iron bra syndrome and I have read that changed to over the muscle will take this feeling away! I am grateful the cancer is gone, stage 1 IDC and stage 0 DCIS!

Mine are over the muscle getting nerve pain under on breast after implants may be a neuroma

I had DMX with expanders then implants under muscle. Initially my implants felt tight. It took a couple of months for the implants to "settle in" . Now I barely think about having them.
The plastic surgeon said my skin was too thin for a successful over muscle implant.

It sounds like you're experiencing significant discomfort from your implants, which might be related to postmastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) or "iron bra syndrome." Here are some steps you can consider:

1. Consult Your Doctor: Discuss your symptoms and concerns about the tightness and spasms with your oncologist or surgeon. They can help determine if a revision surgery might alleviate your discomfort.

2. Physical Therapy: A licensed physical therapist can help develop an exercise routine to reduce tightness and improve your range of motion.

3. Comfortable Clothing: Avoid tight undergarments and opt for comfortable bras, such as bralettes, to reduce discomfort.

4. Strengthening Exercises: With your doctor's approval, weight-bearing exercises can help rebuild muscle and reduce tightness.

5. Swimming: Once your incision sites have healed, swimming can be a low-impact way to increase mobility and reduce pain.

6. Medical Opinion: If the pain is severe, your doctor might recommend additional treatments like pain medications or nerve blocks.

Always consult with your healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment plan.
