And be sure to check whether your insurance will reimburse you for it. I know my surgical bra and the mastectomy bra I will be getting in a fewcweeks have been covered by Medicare and secondary insurance. Also see whether the American Cancer Society might assist you financially. This is essential to your feeling well and functional.
Does your doctor say why he will not help you get a pump? I would try another doctor as the pump really helps. Praying it all works out for you.
@A MyBCTeam Member hi Susan, 426.00 still seems like a lot of money.
You should apply for any and all financial assistance you can get.
Sounds like you worked many years and are still working. Get all that you can.
Did your daughter get her PET scan results?. And how’s your husband feeling now?
Love 💕 and prayers.
The pump had been on order for ages, but arrived (finally)! I was anxious to hear how it is working out- but it is still in the box (for now!) Can't wait to hear it is successfully taking care of the issue!

If you have lymphedema, your doctor should support you in this.
He should send you to a lymphedema PT to work with you and suggest whether you need the pump and teach you lymphatic massage.
The PT can make contact for you with the pump company and arrange a demo there or in your home.
Find out what your insurance covers for this, if the cost is feasible for you or if any cancer organizations will help with the cost.
You have more than one oncology doctor. So there are others to give you a referral.
Has anyone heard of liposuction for lymphedema, or had it done? My lymphedema is now a stage 3 plus.
