I would definitely go for second opinion as it doesn't make sense if oncotype is low then why Chemo.On the other hand hormonal is doing the same thing.

I noticed my surgeon got testy when I mentioned I didn't want chemo or radiation. Money talks unfortunately!

Hi! I am IDC stage 1 grade 2. 6mm and 1.7 mm tumors removed with lumpectomy on March 27th. Currently on session 12 of 20 for radiation. My incotype score was 23, borderline for my age. Too high to say no chemo. BUT the data showed I only had a 3% chance of benefitting from chemo. I opted for ovarian suppression and AI. Going Tuesday for 2nd zoladex injection and will start AI after that.

A doctor may have a recommendation. Keep in mind it's a recommendation and you know you and your body best. My doctor went over ALL of the options for me and let me choose what was right for me. I suggest a second opinion, as well. ❤️

I agree with Virginia, a second opinion in never a bad idea, if you feel unsure. If you get the same recommendation, could confirm your doctor’s plan. If not, it may help you make your decision
I was stage 1, 1 cm, but triple negative, so I had chemo.
