I’ve had 5 breast reconstructions due to flipping. After the last one where the plastic surgeon put in larger implants and made the pocket smaller, one implant still flipped after I slept on my side. Is there a suggestion on a way to stop them from flipping? Sometimes someone has a home made trick that they found works. Thanks for any ideas. Lisa

I’ve done all of those ideas suggested. As I said, this was my 5th breast surgery. The only time they didn’t flip was when I had the expanders. Yesterday, the PS was able to manually flip the implant back to the correct position. I went back to sleeping with the wedge to keep me erect. But honestly, I don’t want to sleep on my back only, elevated for the rest of my life and always with a bra. I thought about sleeping with a wired bra for awhile to see if that helped (that’s the only time they flip is when sleeping). I’m guess I’m wondering if someone has an idea, like padding a bra at night to keep the implant from flipping, or like I thought, a wired bra for awhile. Just seeing if anyone had any luck beside accepting the flipping or more surgeries. Hopefully the manufacturers will add the tabs so the surgeon can tack the implants down. Thanks, Lisa

I would contact the manufacturer directly and explain what has happened each time.
It is their product. They should have a quality control department and it should also be reported to the FDA as a defect.
The company itself should have some ideas.
If you do not know the company brand, there should be surgical records that state this..
Has the same implant brand been used each time??
There is one woman one here that had to manually flip the implant back over in place and did not get any support from her doctor and was really ignored with no help.
Perhaps others can reply on this….
