Finished chemo May 30 Neuropathy started about the same time. Then 4 weeks of radiation and Finished Herceptin February 27, 2023. I am hoping someone out there that has neuropathy has seen improvement after end of all treatment.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately Gabapentin did nothing for me. I am happy to hear that you had improvement after 1 year. May 30 makes 1 year since I finished Taxol. My oncologist told me if I still have the neuropathy after 1 year that it would be permanent. I am encouraged that some get better after this 1 year mark.

Mine took over a year. I finished chemo in June of 2019 and the neuropathy got worse instead of better. I finished the follow-up Herceptin in Jan 2020. By June of that year (one year after ending chemo Taxotere, Carboplatin, Herceptin) I was considering leaving my job at the school, as walking on the concrete floors all day, had me practically in tears by 3. I decided I would take the summer, go back to work and then make my decision. It all started to improve that summer- and by mid-August, things were definitely better and continued to improve. I now only have a bit of numbness at the tips of my fingers and toes- more of an annoyance than anything. But my toes/feet will get that pin-pricking feeling on cold mornings with bus duty- but it clears up once I am inside and toasty again. Hang in there, our bodies heal on their own timetables- apparently mine knows how to procrastinate! Hugs and all good wishes for your continued healing! Hugs!
