Penny, I had the same pains. We call them zingers. They just come out of nowhere, then go away. They sure hurt though. This is until your nerve endings heal. That’s what my Oncologist told me. I hope that helped to answer your question, Penny. Prayers and hugs to you 💕🙏

My nerve endings will never heal, I'll be on Gabapentin for the rest of my life. I didn't have just 'zingers' that happened once in a while, my nerve damage pain was relentless. Burning, stinging, stabbing pain every waking hour. It took 4-6 weeks on Gabapentin for it to finally work. My lumpectomy was last July and still I have seconds of break through sensations, so I know without Gabapentin I would have it

Yes I had same. Called a zinger. It is your nerve endings. You can always confirm with your doctor to give you comfort. I asked many times because they truly grab your attention!

I had those too for a few years, only get them every once in a while now. But, my lumpectomy surgeries were in 2021.

I've had those, too. I was told that it is the nerves healing following the surgery. Mine aren't bad or frequent just random. If yours are bad, then by all means talk to your oncologist.
