So for recovery how useful to you was a recliner or power recliner if you had dbl mastectomy with no Reconstruction? Or did you go pillow or wedge pillow route?

I found my electric recliner extremely useful. I highly recommend it to anyone that is able to get one. I did not use a manual recliner - the electric recliner allowed me to get up without using muscles that were tender. I had purchased a wedge pillow but did not end using it. I did find the breast pillow extremely helpful, as well as a travel pillow for your neck.

Can I ask why? Was the pressure less for you in a recliner or were you afraid you would roll over? I got the info that the drains work with negative pressure so they don't "need" to be lower so I'm curious why people chose a recliner. Thanks to all in advance.

Hello, I just ELEVATED pillows in my bed. I didn't have the strength to push the bottom of recliner down with the handle or my feet. I also kept post surgical bra ON. My husband did have to cover me up. I have heard a lot of good things about the mastectomy pillow as Tammy was talking about.
