I am not on any of those drugs Marian but how did you do on ibrance & Falsodex for 5 years?

I just read your story Marian . So did ibrance stop working and now you will try something else? My doctor said that happens when you are stage 4, that whatever we are on eventually stops working and then something else is tried. 5 1/2 yrs on those 2 drugs is a remarkable accomplishment in itself. Side effects had to be rough. I hope your new treatment gives positive results

Why did she take you off? Have you ever been NED? I’m glad it worked for 5.5 years.

I also took Ibrance and faslodex for a couple if years. Last year the cancer spread to my liver, so we discontinued that and I have been taking a mild dose of Xeloda since then. I take two 500 mg pills in the morning and two at night for two weeks on and one week off and repeat. I have not experienced any of the dire side effects. I love this medication. My tumor markers are in the normal range now. I just had a CT scan last month and the cancer is stable all over and two of the tumors in my liver have actually decreased in size. I have a lot of bone pain now, but I am almost 82 so don't know if I can blame Xeloda. If have diarrhea, for instance, work with your doc to get a dose you can tolerate. GOOD LUCK!!💕
