My biopsy came back saying I have lobular carcinoma. No mention of HER2. Do I have to ask for another biopsy?

Tumor is 1.4cm x 1.2cm x 1.1cm and is positioned mid breast

The HER2 tests take alot longer. I found out I had invasive idc and I didn’t see or talk to my surgeon till the her2 tests came back. Didn’t need a second biopsy. Just more time for the testing of the biopsy sample

Lobular is the type of breast cancer. ER/PR and Her2 are the bio markers. That should be tested on the biopsy.

This finding confirms that it is cancer and that it started in the lobe, the other results regarding the biomarkers may take a bit longer to get back.
