Has anyone refused taking hormone blockers and if so what other alternatives do you do??
I was totally against taking them. In August and Sept I took them maybe two-three times a week. Sometimes 3 days in a row and then I stopped for a week. Told my doctor and she said I either take it or not take it but by doing it the way I was would actually make the cancer worst because it would recognize a schedule and knew when an 'off' day was so those cells would come out of hiding more aggressive knowing that pill was coming back. So, I decided to take it and have been taking it now for 6 weeks. So far I only have fatigue and some knee joint stiffness but its mostly when I get up from sitting. Its a wait and see approach I am taking.
Hi Terry10:
You will do ok. Its purpose is to prevent further cancer cells.
Touch base with us as you start and we can all support you.
I started pills 5 weeks ago and I do ok with them. I am fatigued, some joint pain and have a dry mouth and a little down in the dumps, hope that is all I get.
Sue, Thank you.
Seems like many of us are supposed to start these and are a bit nervous about it. I am.
