Everyone is different in dealing with the hair lost. We have to do what we think is best for us. 🙏

Losing my hair was very difficult and an emotional part of this journey. At first I would have crying sessions in the shower as I would pick up the clumps. Once I decided to shave my hair, I felt in control again. I was able to buy nice scarves and hats through Amazon and my hospital’s pharmacy. Though I still do not recognize myself when I look in the mirror, I tell myself that it is temporary and part of the healing of my mind, body and soul. Sending you positive vibes. ❤️

Once the hair starts to leave on vacation, it's gone pretty quick. I had mine buzzed off when the scalp started feeling sunburned. Then every time I showered and towel dried my head- wow! My night cap caught all the fuzzies that came out at night. The whole process was over in a few days. Our cancer center did my buzz cut, and also ordered in my "cranial prosthetic" - insurance terminology for a wig! I ordered mine in my color, but in a style I know my normal hair couldn't pull off! I am not a scarf person, but loved my hats, especially my ones in Newsboy style- the sides and back are a bit lower. Should I have to ever revisit this experience, I think I will also go with the hair attached to a cap, as an easy grab and go! I watched a lot of videos about wigs on YouTube by Godivas Secret. They are a wig company, videos are short, but have a lot of good info- especially, if like me, you have never felt the need for a wig. Hang in there, one day you will reach up and feel some fuzzies and know that it is your hair coming back from vacation- Better days are coming! Hugs!
