@A MyBCTeam Member and Carmen2 I have lymphadema in my right arm even though I've never had surgery for my breast cancer Mass in my right breast. I go to a therapist for lymphadema massage therapy. Its very helpful and helps keep the fluid down. I asked her if lymphadema ever goes away, and she says no. There's no cure unfortunately, but there's ways to help control it....massage, getting fitted for a compression sleeve, watching your salt intake, being taught how to do your own manual massage, exercise helps move lymphatic fluids too. With it being in your breast, an occupational therapist(OT) could help and/or show you ways to control it. I too wish I could get rid of it!! Good luck my friends!! They do have compression bras,but I'm not familiar as to how they would work.🙂👍🤗

I'm but I think if you go to physical therapy that it would help ,I was going before my diagnosis and still am and I haven't had a problem

Re: lymphadema compression sleeve. My PT says that I have stage 2 lymphadema, so I would benefit from wearing the sleeve during the day. My oncologist will write a prescription for it, and hopefully insurance will cover it. The sleeves aren't cheap and I think you have to change it every 6 months (maybe?). I will have to go get measured for it first. I'm not looking forward to wearing it in this hot weather!😬🥵 I still haven't bought my rebounder(mini trampoline) yet. It's supposed to be great for moving lymphatic fluids by bouncing. Chrisbeatcancer.com recommendations it and there's Kelly (lymphadema therapist) on YouTube also speaks highly of it. Will try rebounder first especially if insurance won't pay for it. 🙂👍

There is no cure for it. You can only manage it. It depends also on what stage of it your at. My is do to have lympnodes removed. You can also get lympdema in other parts of your body. This is all because of our complex lymphatic system and our bodies retaining of water, which is another issue which mimics this problem of swelling of our body parts.

I have had pain in my surgery breast.........it comes and goes.....I called my support team today and she called be back. She said it was nerve endings healing. I was surprised.......... what do you know about this??
