I purchased a 3X. These go on over your head.
I couldn’t get it on and the cup size looked
like an A cup.

This Genie bra had a tiny liner inside that was a size A.
Really no room or cup size for anything larger than an A cup.
This would have fitted someone who wears a small.
Must have been marked incorrectly at the factory.
Sue10, It seems that there is no consistency in bra sizing. I'm having similar issues with finding wire free bras. I can't tell you how many I have had to return in the past month.
I tried genie bras and found that they run small so you may need to go up a size. They also fit me wierd under the armpits. I've finally settled on Warners easy does it seamless stretch wire free bras for every day. The sizing goes up to 3X. They are available at most department stores and also Amazon.
I step into it and pull it up. Size up one size.

I am so sorry that you are having so much problems after surgery .
Have you try camisole with bra cup. They are soft but no support.
I used to buy them at Walmart.
