I had a "natera" blood test and it came back "-0- detection at this time". I will be heading to my Onco on Tuesday the 21st. I was told that because I have invasive IT(BC) will never be gone. It's like putting 4 grains of sugar in a glass of water you may not taste it but it's (BC) is still there. Natera is still in the testing phase for BC, currently only for prostate cancer. I gave me peace.

You need to be on an aromatase inhibitor to block the ER/PR in your body so that it can't feed any new cancer cells and they starve. It doesn't need to be anastrozole; your oncologist can work with you on which AI is best for you.

I was placed on anastrozole for 5-10yrs. Am starting year #3. Bone scans have been very good for a 70+yrs, post menopausal. Lots of walking and low impact exercise.

I am estrogen positive, progestin negative, her2 negative. I am on Fosomax now but ma y need to switch to Prolia or Reclast depending on outcome of next Dexa in October. I am on Exemestane because as I am post menopausal I have osteoporosis and that drug supposedly causes the least amount of bone loss of the Aromatase inhibitor drugs. Time will tell if that is true, but I have very few if any side effects from it.
