No, I didn't have the breast lift at the same time as the reconstruction. Since I was having a lat dorsi flap, it would have been too much, though I probably would have preferred it now that I think about it.
At this point, I am not considering the lift. I'm pretty happy with my results.

You didn't have recon and breast lift at same time? My surgeon is talking about doing implant exchange and reduction in same operation. I'm a little nervous about how the outcome will be if both are done at the same time. I don't want a third operation though. I had a lumpectomy and biozorb implant in an earlier operation. I am lopsided after the mastectomy. Since they had to remove so much skin to remove the biozorb implant a reduction is necessary. I don't know about dorsi slap. I thought tissue expander was just used for implants.

I had a single mastectomy in July 2021. I had an expander put in at the same time because I needed radiation. Dr wanted to wait 6 months from last radiation treatment for reconstruction. Instead, it turned out to be 13 months later. There was insurance confusion, which led to the delay.
I had reconstruction in Dec 2022. It was a latissimus dorsi flap with implant. It calls for a longer recovery and two areas of surgery. Dr assured me it would yield the best results.
Despite the longer recovery, I went back to work (WFH) just 2 weeks later. I also didn't require any heavy meds for pain as I didn't feel any. I found that the surgery wasn't as bad as the mastectomy. Still getting used to how it looks and feels, but I can't complain. Dr did an excellent job. It looks amazing.
I did not get the other breast lifted yet. Still on the fence if I am willing to go through another surgery. At this point, I've had enough of surgeries to last for a while.
