@A MyBCTeam Member: I had no stomach/digestive issues on Taxol. Taxol is more about the bone/joint pain - I'd have a couple of days where I'd be shuffling around like a 137 year old, but I found heat to be a big help with that (hot baths, heated blankets). But overall I found that achiness and pain much easier to tolerate than the overall crappy flu feeling of AC. I did end up with a little neuropathy in my finger & toe tips as well.

Remember though that not everyone reacts the same- you might very well end up only having mild effects if any, so don't worry yourself too much with what others might of or might not have experienced. Listen to your body - should you experience an effect note it down and discuss with your onc. Deep breaths, happy thoughts, and congrats on being one Taxol down! Woohooooo!! 🎈

Hi, I just finished 12 weeks of taxol. While I think my symptoms were milder than what most women might get, I still had them. I flip flopped between diarrhea and constipation that I learned to manage with diet. Balance and dizziness, sleep issues right after treatment. Occasional fatigue. Memory loss, speech and word-finding incidents. These are the chemo fog. There might be others but if you go to breastcancer.org head a wealths of info including treatment drugs and side effects. Don’t worry much of what you might get. Take them as they come, but if they get disruptive, don’t hesitate to call your oncologist. Love to you on your journey!!💜

@A MyBCTeam Member. For controlling my diarrhea and constipation, in the first week I had both pretty bad. So then when I had my second visit when we went through to see if I had any issues, we talked and the Navigator brought me two packets from the dietician, one for what foods were good/bad for diarrhea, and the other for what’s good/bad for constipation. So then if my body went one way or another I could affect it by changing foods I ate. After a couple weeks I figured out how to blend foods on both lists to maintain a balance.

I would love to share the lists, but I don’t know how on here.
