My hair is starting to grow back but only on the sides. I'm still completely bald on the top of my head. I look like a old bald man. Lol is this normal for your hair to not grow back on top?
@A MyBCTeam Member mine has grown more quickly on the sides and back as well.
Mine seemed to come in pretty even to start, then the back and sides were growing faster, the top is growing more now, I do have two areas (what I call my forehead corners) that I wish would fill in more! The beautician associated with the cancer center says this happens to most, and that it can take as much as two years to get all the cancer affected hair grown out and follicles healed.
I think it grows faster on the sides than the top usually. Mine was kind of even. It fell out dark blonde and came back white. There is some darker hair woven through but mostly white. Everyone seems to love it and I am just happy it grew back . Mine was growing back halfway through chemo. After that was over I just wore a hate to work. Chemo ended mid June and I felt comfortable enough to ditch the hat in September. Now it almost seems too long .. which is weird because IVe always worn It kinda long. I think it's just the texture and extra curl that makes me think that. Good luck.. it will get there and when it's over it will seem like the time flew.

I was worried about the same thing. However, the top of my hair is starting to fill in as well. It is a relief.
