Found out that my next bone dexa scan is next year because insurance only covers it every two years. My levels last year indicated osteopenia and my dr suggested prolia or zometa if they continue to drop. I was wondering if anyone used yoga to slow it down.

Thanks ladies in advance for your input.

Any of the poses that bear your weight should be helpful.
My endo made it crystal clear that “slowing it down” with respect to AI bone loss was the goal, rather than reversal. I work out on a low-impact Cross trainer along with squats with weights...presumably it’s helping, although I do see progression on DEXA. They seem excited to tell me it’s not at a rip-roaring pace, though.

I do yoga - can't say whether it helps with my osteoporosis but it's definitely good for the soul! However, I have seen improvement in my bone density which I suspect is due to my six monthly Prolia shot.

Sorry just saw this. I use the powder in my coffee every am. About a 1/2 scoop. Its like making a mocha without all the bad stuff in it. You can get it at GNC. Its called Ancient Nutrition.

How do you use the bone broth protein powder and how much? I get the Prolia injection every six months but would be interested in trying the bone broth. Thanks
