My massage therapist is also certified in lymphatic draining (probably not the official term). Since my unilateral (w. 7 nodes removed) + prophylactic mastectomies I have her drain my lymph system 1 or 2 times a month depending on my fluid build up. It is a full body massage-like process that assists my body in removing the fluids naturally. She even showed me the motions to do if I need extra help in between visits. It feels great, very relaxing! And it works!!

I had my bilateral Mastectomy on July 30 and I have it on both sides & its under both of my arms , had 3 lymph nodes removed aug 2015 when they removed the lump , my surgeon is worry but I am I will see my PM & ask her can she drain them or send me for CT or MRI it’s so painful & uncomfortabe

Yes, I had the same thing happen to me and my body couldn't re-absorb it fast enough, so the doctor had to drain it off, mine didn't start until they took the tubes out for drainage. But, this was 26 years ago I went through this, they may be able to give you some thing to take. Good luck

I have since had a CT and it’s stenosis around the radiation area. Not sure of treatment plan yet.

Originally I went to my massage therapist for stress relief or to assist in injury recovery. I was fortunate that she is also certified in lymphatic drainage. Lymph draining was never officially recommended as a method for my after care although I know it is available at the cancer institute. I have been seeking natural + holistic options for my post-cancer life and this felt like a very logical addition to my other choices.
