I think radiation intensified my rib pain. I find I have to be careful the way I sit or lie on the couch while watching tv otherwise the pain is increased.

Hi Mern!!! Yes, I get this too! I did bilateral mastectomy and no rads. On both sides but more the side I had the cancer on. Other known as problem boob! Lol! I’ve been bone scanned from head to toe it was bothering me so bad and I’m ALL GOOD AND CLEAR!!! 😘😘😘

Hi Mern here I'm thinking that I must be the only one with rib pain on the mastectomy side.Thank you, God, for this site. I even hurt at the mast sight which I gently rub and under my arm.The extra fat and skin that was pushed back from the operation, under my arm I sleep on that side. God bless all of you.

I have rib pain on my rt side which i had a radical on that side and its been 23 yrs

I did not have a mastectomy, but I sometimes have pain where the radiation was. It is not constant, just there sometimes. My RO said that it was an after effect of radiation.
