Hey, ladies!! When I signed up you probably never expected someone to have as many questions that I do!! Now I am looking for anyone with heart failure and a pacemaker that are preferrably 50 or younger. I will take any response from older ladies as well, but looking for women who are close to 50 or less and living with Stage IV with bone mets and breast cancer of any stage or type if there is anyone beside me. Wanting to expand and further learn from current friends near and far who live… read more

You are so right Paula. All of that is true. People who never had BC see us plugging on and once our hair starts to grow back, and we start "looking normal" they think we are fine and "normal" again.....this horrible disease changes us for ever and we will never be "ourselves" again. We have to get use to the "new normal" now. Glad you are feeling well. Have a good week.

Hi Paula. I'll ask my doc about magnesium. thank you. I had a skin sparring bilateral in July 2017 w/immediate reconstruction. Then fluid came back, drains went back in and ultimately I got an infection a month later, surgery again, infection treated and reconstruction had to come out. (too many surgeries so I think I've decided to go flat and eventually get rid of the "wings." In Sept 2017 I started 6 rounds of TCH chemo. Now I'm only on H (Herceptin) infusions w/daily oral tamoxifen. I just started tamoxifen about a month ago. I walk 2-5 miles every day and eat healthy (i.e. fruits, veggies, grains, protein) about 80% of the time. I have a lot of support from my husband and my good friends, but it's still emotional and only people like you and those on this page can fully understand.

That's all great news and I'm so glad you are doing well. Physically I'm doing great, emotionally I struggle still...mainly at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. My hubby and I walk 2-5 miles everyday and that is very rewarding and helpful with the anxiety. We pick up trash and recycling at the same time! Helps the community and we get $$ for the recycling! and extra exercise for bending down to pick up trash! LOL Have a good week my dear.

Hi Paula. I love your sense of humor! My diagnosis was stage 2 (triple positive) and I'm 53 years old currently. My onc orders eco (heart ultra sounds) every 3-4 months. This is because some of the meds we (BC girls) have to take and/or get infusions on, have side effects that could damage our hearts. I'm fortunate that I've had no heart issues and tests are showing all is normal. But, you may want to ask your onc if the meds are causing this with your heart. Stay strong girlfriend! We are all here for the "fight"

@A MyBCTeam Member, thank you! I keep doing better and better! Sleeping so wonderful like a baby with no worries! I swear by that magnesium!! You hang in there, tomorrow can be so much brighter! If it's not, then never give up hope that it will be in good time. How are you feeling these days?! I really hope you are well! Let me know when you have a chance, OK?? Hugs, Paula
