I was on Anastrozole (Arimidex) for 18-months, it did GREAT to reduce my tumors, shrunk almost completely gone. But, I did have stiffness especially in my feet and hands. Every morning I woke up feeling like a 90 year old (that's a compliment!) but after a few steps and moving around, I'd be fine. Really - just moving around really helped not feel so stiff. I may have taken Advil a couple of times but rarely. I hope you find a way to just work through it and let the meds to their great work! Hang in there!

The joint pain and irritability was too much...I would take a 1week break in between to be able to tolerate. I was on maybe a year. Also on letrozole joint pain to difficult. I'm presently on tamoxifine no pain headaches and numbness... Day by day at this point.

Had joint pain, ask your Med Onc to switch you to another aromatase inhibitor.
