Yesterday my port was deaccessed and when I got home I noticed that a fair amount of blood loss had occurred (a fully soaked 2x2 gauze) after they disconnected my port. This has never happened before and my port has been comfortable now for two months or more. Has anybody else had bleeding from your port occur after being disconnected from the port access?
Whether it's still bleeding or not, call your infusion center or onco pronto. They need to know if there's a failure in the function of your port.

I never had that happen. Are you still bleeding? I would give the dr a call just to sure..
