My port was infected so I had it removed four days ago after only one use. My skin all around it is peeling and reddish. Definitely a reaction to the tapes used during chemo and surgery. I have to get another port put in probably next week so I'm hoping they can use some different tapes. If there's any chance it could be an infection, tell your onc right away! Good luck to you.

I had a reaction to the plastic wrap they put over it. I literally burn underneath. I now tell them I'm allergic to adhesive tape and they use paper tape.

I loved my port, it was great. If you're concerned tho, give your doc's office a call. The nurses can easily chat with you about it.

Be posative. No I didn't HV a reaction. But my grand babies clog it alot cause they don't understand yet. Maybe talk to your Dr to be on safe side
