Hair regrowth is soooo different for all of us. Mine started growing back very, very slowly after chemo ended, but as long as I was on Herceptin the regrowth was unbelievably slow...about 1/8 inch a month. Once I was done with Herceptin it began growing at a much more normal rate. Came back black with threads of gray....not my pre-chemo color, but I am grateful to have any hair at this point. Initially it was so soft, it was more like fur than hair, but now, 5 months post-Herceptin, the texture is like my old hair. It was difficult at first, since I could not recognize myself with the new color, but I am adjusting to it. As difficult as it is, try to focus on the fact that we are all here and hair issues are a small sacrifice to make to have your life and being with family and friends. Many women I have spoken to say it took several years for their hair to return to "normal", so don't be discouraged!

I've been using this product for a while before my diagnosis. Now I'm using it again and my hair seems to be growing a little faster. Hey, anything that helps right?! I get it from Sally's Beauty Supply but you may be able to get it from Amazon.

I have 4 more chemo treatments for triple negative breast cancer and my hair is already growing back. It is coming out WHITE!! lol I have always carried my head high and went in public with my bald head and now my fuzzies lol. I have actually met some wonderful caring people when they saw my head. But of course I've seen the stares. I don't care what other people think....I am a cancer warrior and I am proud of myself for fighting this like a champ!

My hair fell out 15 days after my first treatment. Not sure who would tell you any different. Side effect are different with everyone. You realize it is a powerful cancer killing drug (poison to cancer in a way) The type of cancer makes a difference but its not something that you would take and expect to not feel like crap after.
