I went this morning to my PCP. He is thinking it is muscloskeletal in nature, but to be safe he as ordered a chest xray and concentrate on ribs on that side. Then he said we would move onto bone scan if needed. I am going to get the xray on Thursday and go from there.

😢 Had my first Taxol treatment on Friday. The additional tests and biopsy showed the breast cancer has come back in my lymph nodes, a little spot on my lung, two little ones on my liver and a couple of small places on bone, on rib and sacrum. I didn't think I would ever be here again especially after 6 years, but I am. This is NOT going to rob me of my family. I have a 1 yr old granddaughter I have waited for so long for and two grandsons 9 & 10 I want to see grow up. God is going to heal me and I am going to live a long time.

I don't mean to cause alarm, but after 22 years in remission, a lump developed on my sternum a year ago. Before this lump appeared, I had pain in my chest area, which was diagnosed as osteoarthritis. When I eventually had pain going up the left side of my neck, my GP and oncologist agreed I should have a CT scan, which then picked up that the mass on my sternum was a metastasis. The scan also revealed 6 small metastases on the lining of my left lung. Fortunately after taking Tamoxifen, within a few months, 5 of the 6 metastases were eradicated. Unfortunately the recalcitrant mass on my sternum didn't respond to Tamoxifen or Femara, but 25 radiation treatments successfully treated it. I thus urge you to have a CT scan for the lump on your sternum ASAP. Good luck!
