Hi Linda, Had all my treatments in 2014 and early 2016 my teeth started breaking at the roots and I couldn't have root canals, all the top teeth had to be pulled.
I sure wish there had been some proactive talk about tooth issues resulting from dry mouth resulting from chemo..... not a word was said pre or during treatment. I didn't suck on any candy at all during treatment so I guess I can mainly blame the after affects of dry mouth on the dental issues that have popped up.
Just finished chemo in November and already having dental issues. Something they did not tell me about before jand
I have lost fillings (3) causing teeth to break off. Also had a crown lift off a tooth. My dental bill post treatment will be costly. Not interested in tooth implants.
My dentist and endodontist and oncologist all said the same thing..... would have been nice if oncologist had mentioned that before treatment not three years later when I'm having to have root canals on three teeth. Hopefully I'm done with these issues. Root canal and crowns are expensive! Not to mention not fun. I sure can't figure Charla out. She disappeared from here!
