I had neuropathy during and after taxol treatment. It has gradually faded away to nothing so long as I am not on my feet and running around for hours on end. If I overexert I get some soreness in feet and restless leg in the night. It is now 6 most since my last taxol treatment. Vitamin B6 is supposed to be very helpful and is the usual recommendation. I however found a worsening of symptoms when I took it, so I do not. I also took ALA and thought it was helpful. Rx meds are ok too if those things are not helpful. I hope you get some relief.
I also take B-12, B-6 and ALA. I also find rubbing essential oils on my feet at night. I think my next step is to get some Rx meds for it.
yes mine was bad. I got on some good vitamins and they help. Check with your doctor first but I take B-12, B-Complex, B-1 and was told that Alpha Lipoic Acid works good. I started the Alpha Lipoic Acid a few weeks ago and it has helps so much. I also have a prescription for Gapapentin and it helps. I am on my feet most of the day so it makes the neuropathy worst. But it is getting better with the vitamins. Good luck
I started Taxol in October. After the 2nd chemo I started to get neuropathy. After 3 sessions my blood counts dropped too low and I took a month off. DUring that time my neuropathy intensified. I restarted the Taxol on Dec 7 th but at a reduced dosage. MY neurapthy usually disappears the day after chemo but returns a few days later. I did my last Taxol yesterday and it will be I teresti g to see if my pain intensifies.
