Had mine out thru belly button. Just some soreness for a few days. Easiest surgery yet!

I went thru natural menopause. Initially I gained some belly fat but was able to take it all off using a low carb diet and lots of exercise. I am now bsck to my HS weight of 110. The hot flashes go with the territory and I still get them 13 years later. I found exerxise was the best way to deal with hot flashes and a mostly vegetarian diet,

For me the hot flashes started about a month later. You will notice increased belly "fat". It's harder to keep your weight under control. It's truly a small price to pay all things considered. It takes time for your body to acclimate to the changes. Your Thanksgiving will be wonderful. Let the family cook. Rest on the couch. You will be able to participate in the tree trimming. No other hormone blocker for me. My chance of reoccurrence is low. Had the hysterectomy as a precaution

I had my ovaries removed as well. I don't think you will be able to be on your feet for extended time periods. I had no pain with my recovery. I spent a few days resting on the couch. It wasn't a horrible recovery. Xxxooo
