Has anyone else had this problem? I had my implant removed 2 months ago, and the drain removed a week after surgery. I still have a fluid pocket that has to be drained every two weeks. 100 cc's extracted every time. Will this ever stop? He tells me to wrap tight in an ace bandage. and massage. Nothing helps..looks like a man boob and creeps me out. I refuse to have another drain put in. Any suggestions?

@TerryCooperLira. It is a self massage to move your lymph fluid. You go to a physical therapist that is a lymph edema specialist. They teach it to you. You do it at home. It's very beneficial. Think about it. Xxxooo

I had my drain removed early from the mastectomy because I would rather go in and get the fluid drained manually than have the annoyance of the drain. I had to do that for six weeks, the first two or three I had to go in twice a week. The more you move your arm the more fluid builds up. I wore a sling to keep my arm still, but I still went to work and walked my dogs and that was why the fluid kept coming. What was odd was when I started jogging again the fluid dramatically reduced. I only had to go in once a week for manually draining and then after a couple of weeks of that, no more fluid. It is counter-intuitive that jogging would have stopped the fluid, but it sure seemed to correlate for me.

Yes I am setting that up Monday morning, she said she can get rid of the scar tissue as well I hope so because this breast had the radiation and the implant became hard so he took the implant out and tried to clear as much scar tissue as possible and put the implant back. one month after that surgery my scar opened up and the implant fell out. he said I didn't have an infect but a months after that I had to start going and getting fluid aspirated every week for seven months he finally got it down to 40cc's and decided to do the LDF surgery. He did a debridement but he did not put the expander in just the muscle he wants this to heal first but it won't stop putting out fluid. And the breast with just the muscle is like a brick I massage it but it does no good and that scares me because of the expander I know it will feel even harder.

After 5 weeks I still have a 2 seromas...I know the feeling of having the "man boob" kind of freaks me out too. They sat my body will absorb the fluid. These are common after breast surgery. I am hoping they go away soon.
