Which vitamin are we supposed to be taking? I'm taking vitamin D2 but it seems like everyone here is taking vitamin D3.

Vitamin D3

Patti, I take multivitamins, Omega 3, B12 and Vitamin D3. I usually email the oncologist nurse when I have a question. I don't see why you need to wait but I am always reading that you should contact your Dr. even for over the counter meds. If it was me, I would start but remember to tell them on my next appointment.

D3. Lots of evidence it's the way to go in light of breast cancer.

My onc suggested 5000mg daily of D3 unless I get a lot of sun then take 2000mg

Most Dr's will prescribe D2, however D3 is more easily absorbed and maintained by the body. I was on 100,000IU of D2 every week and my levels fell from 29 to 12. I'm now only taking D3. 7,000IU 3 times a day.
